Customize & Optimize Your Production and Manufacturing Processes from the First Estimate to the Last Shipment

Powerful Solutions to Manufacturing Challenges

Version 4.0 is a totally integrated parametric system (rules based) with a flexible architecture that allows a single change to affect labor times and costs, material types and costs, machine code and machine selection, hardware selection, name, quantity and cost, drawing selection, part and product names. This allows a single change to accurately update all information used from the estimate through production and to be communicated throughout the business. An example of this would be if the user changed from a plastic laminate to a transparent wood finish, all the labor associated with finishing as well as the finishing materials would be accounted for and the appropriate cost, labor times and requirements would now be included in the estimate or available for production planning purposes. By allowing true labor curves that include machine and tooling setup based on the manufacturers own methods and practices the end user gets accurate costing and labor forecasting information for estimating and production.

With an open architecture, information is open to the user to modify and change as required. Woodwork/2001 is fully ODBC compliant (Open Data Base Connectivity) which will allow any or all information to be dynamically linked to any other ODBC application, like an accounting or MRP package. Users can also use off the shelf tools to manipulate and report data. All the standard reports can be saved in about 25 formats including CSV, Excel, and HTML. The end user has complete control over the system, from what names (descriptions) to use, to how to size parts, and how and where to machine parts.

By allowing multiple concurrent users including estimators, engineers, purchasing, order entry and cad operators to work on and have access to the same project at the same time using the same data we reduce the number of times information is handled and allow for any user to get the information they need, or add information to the same project at the same time. Our flexible specification architecture allows changes to be made at any level of a project from the individual item up through every level. These features allow the user to optimize the office and scale up on projects as required without needing to break it up into multiple small flat type files normally used by most systems. Using VPN we can link plants and users in multiple locations, allowing plants to engineer in many places and produce in one, or engineer in one place and produce in many places or any combination in between.

The technology of Woodwork/2001 enables manufacturers to improve the whole manufacturing process from the first estimate to the last shipment.

By optimizing the office, users are able to bid and produce more work, all with a higher degree of accuracy in a timely manner. When a manufacturer has all the information required for an estimate or a project it enables them to make better decisions, including, improving margins, workflow, material yields and pricing as well as labor yields. Better-equipped manufacturers will improve the industry as a whole and help lead the industry forward.
